Watch Me Grow

NJ Tree Recovery Campaign

Attention Brigantine property owners! On Saturday, April 5th there will be a FREE tree seedling give-away at Public Works main entrance on 3605 Bayshore Avenue. The Brigantine Green Team will be help distribute 250 free tree seedlings along with easy to follow “How To Plant” instruction guides to Brigantine residents.  As the program is to benefit communities of Superstorm Sandy, any Brigantine resident is eligible. The give-away starts at 10am and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Planting a tree and watching it grow over time is special and memorable. This is a wonderful program and an opportunity not only for families, friends, and neighbors, but for the entire Brigantine community to plant something together. We hope to see you there and a lot of planting happening in Brigantine on Saturday, April 5th.

This give-away is part of the NJ Tree Recovery Program. The programs goal is to distribute approximately 100,000 tree seedlings to state residents every year for the next five years. Participating municipalities over the five year time period will be allocated between 100 and 2000 seedlings along with instructions about planting and caring for the trees. The tree seedlings to be given out in Brigantine have been specifically identified for shore communities and are native, non-invasive species; although at this time we don’t know which trees Brigantine will receive.
